20.09.2017- What I Wore Today #315


Although things are taking a turn for the chillier, I'm sure I'm not the only one determined to make the most of the remaining spells of sunshine between now and the onset of winter. Whilst I'm still resisting the call of the coat cupboard, I've been on the lookout for some characterful purchases to punctuate my winter wardrobe- those additions which are guaranteed to put a smile on your face on even the gloomiest of mornings:

How much fun is this shirt?! I have to confess that I'm not a regular visitor to Topshop these days, but I happened upon this purchase a few weeks back and snapped it up on the spot. I couldn't resist the flamingo embroidery, and it's one of those wonderfully simple essentials which is really easy to wear. With comfort in mind, these jeans from & Other Stories are another recent purchase which I've been living in since I picked them up last month- I'm seriously contemplating picking up another pair! Another autumn addition to my wardrobe comes in the shape of this & Other Stories bag- the perfect investment for stashing all of my weekend essentials!

If I'm being totally honest, there aren't all that many things which will get me out of bed early at the weekends, let alone earlier than I would usually be up and out of the house during the week. 29.11.2017- London Loves: Glossier's Marylebone Pop Up

Another week, another post all about Glossier! Thankfully for my bank balance, I haven't raided their online shop again just yet, but instead made it along to their temporary store in Marylebone, which appeared at 32 Portland Place for a week from 15-22 November. Much like the UK online launch, the unveiling of this pop up space was hugely hyped, and something which was well worth a peruse one lunchtime: Tucked away just behind the BBC ( W1A quoting a-plenty!), this plush townhouse offered the perfect showcase for Glossier's signature aesthetic, with walls painted in millennial pink and gorgeous velvet sofas in a trendy hue of teal offering the perfect perch. Festooned with fresh flowers, the shop and showroom space spread across two floors, complete with all of Glossier's cult favourites and newly launched debut fragrance too. 30.01.2019- On Learning To Trust Yourself

So, here we are at the end of January- we made it! For some inexplicable reason, this month seems to last about a hundred times as long as any other, but it always feels like an achievement when you get to the end- a five week marathon of early morning alarms, cold weather and a seemingly neverending wait until payday.
