22.02.2019- Spring Style: Olivia Burton Rainbow Bee Earrings

Image
As spring slides ever closer, it’s lovely to start getting inspired by the sense of renewal which the start of the new season brings with it. I love spring more than any other season, I think because of that special sense of revitalisation which it brings with it; it's so lovely to see things bouncing back into life after a long winter of lying dormant, and a welcome contrast to see little spurts of colour popping up after months of dark evenings and dreary skies. I’ve also added a splash of colour to every day with a new addition to my jewellery collection from Olivia Burton:  I’ve loved more or less everything which Olivia Burton have created since the label started, and their latest drop of goodies is no exception. In anticipation of spring, last week I was very kindly sent these beautiful Rainbow Bee hoop earrings, which feature a colourful collection of Swarovski Crystals alongside the signature Olivia Burton 3D bee design. As well as being perfect for special occasions, these...

Whilst there's still a distinct chilly feel in the air, the promise of spring is there too- especially as I'm pleased to report that I've got some snowdrops growing in the garden! Hooray! 17.08.2018- What I Wore Today #342

Image
This post feels a little bit out of date given that as I type this it's absolutely tipping it down outside and the heatwave feels like an entirely distant memory! It's also totally typical that the moment I snap up some warm weather style heroes, the skies darken and the temperatures take a ten degree dip, but I'm still holding out a glimmer of hope that I'll be able to share them with you before the summer is out completely. If I'm honest, dressing for the warm weather is always something which tends to nudge me out of my comfort zone, especially as I get quite irritable when I can't cool down! Planning what to wear from one day to the next was pretty tricky when it was warm, but there was one hero piece which I dug out of my wardrobe which well and truly came to the rescue before I melted into a puddle: Dress- Whistles  Bag- Cath Kidston  Sunglasses- Ray-Ban (c/o John Lewis)  Shoes- Gap Necklace- Olivia Burton This dress from Whistles has been sitting in my wa...

Whilst refreshing your wardrobe is always a lovely way to embrace the change of seasons, sometimes little changes can make a big difference too. Whether it’s embracing a new lip hue or digging out those much-loved sunglasses, there’s a lot to be said for those small switch ups and the difference which they can make to your day. Recently, I’ve been alternating some of my daily jewellery essentials for easy instant outfit updates, and one special combination in particular is proving absolutely perfect for this time of the year:    c/o Olivia Burton* How beautiful is this bee themed set from Olivia Burton? I’ve been a big fan of the brand since they launched their signature collection of watches back in 2012, and was really excited when they launched a range of jewellery too. This rose gold combination incorporates a three dimensional bee motif, which, as well as being ideal inspiration for spring is a great motivator too- reminding me whenever I wear it of the value of working h...
